Ben Nevis

Kicking off with a minibus journey north, into Scotland and on through the magnificent highlands until we reach our accommodation for a good night’s sleep ahead of the big challenge. An early morning and the clock starts ticking at the foot of our first challenge. A 1345m climb from Fort William to Britain’s highest point; the summit plateau of colossal Ben Nevis. Breath taking scenery and incredible views really kick start an amazing adventure. Target: 3 hour climb, 2 hour descent.

Scafell Pike

After a quick decent, it’s south into England to discover the hidden wonders and picturesque twisty lanes, leading to Scafell Pike. Amidst the stunning western Lake District, the highest mountain in England, has surprisingly rocky and unrelentingly steep paths. Undoubtedly the toughest part of the test, often engulfed by mist and with the later part of our climb seeing sunset and darkness falling as we return to the minibus. Target: 2.5 hour climb, 2 hour descent.

Snowdon

Onward into beautiful North Wales, where we discover the final challenge of mighty Snowdon. It’s wide, well maintained Miners’ Track leads gently around the reservoir of Llyn Llydaw, crossing the causeway and climbing the northern tip of Glaslyn. Suddenly we’re faced  with a steep zig-zag climb before meeting the Pyg Track, culminating in one last push to the summit as sun rises and we reach our final peak. Target: 2hr climb, 1.5hr descent.
