3 Days is Better than 24 hours!

Get Outdoors only runs 24 hour challenges on request, as we strongly recommend taking on the National 3 Peaks over 3 days in preference. Experience of doing both versions over the years has lead to the conclusion it is a more enjoyable experience, yet no less challenging, with the opportunity to unwind, celebrate and gain a decent night's rest between each peak.

This principle also takes into consideration the considerable criticism received over recent years towards the 24 hour challenge. The 3 day version reduces the risk to participants' safety and negative impacts to local areas. Complaints have included littering, inappropriate toileting, minibuses being driven at high speed through residential areas at night and abandoned on road sides by groups determined to complete their challenge at any cost.
