The Purpose of Team Building

In the words of Aristotle, "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts." And when it comes to winning, "Team Work" is the reason great teams are often better than groups of great individuals.

Teamwork requires everyone to strive towards the same objective, pulling in the same direction by building:

Trust - having confidence in each other.

Effective Communication - breaking down barriers.

Bonds - when people matter to you, building them up becomes second nature. 

Motivation - easier when you feel supported.

A team that enjoys spending time together; shows each other genuine respect; understands the importance of supporting and building confidence in each individual, is a team on the route to success!

This is often easier to build by stepping away from the usual pressures and routine you experience, to find different and fun ways to connect. So we are going to take you somewhere different, beyond your comfort zone, to find out about each other in a whole new way:


Saturday 6th July


7:00am: Leave Oxford

  • Minibus transport in 3 vehicles.
  • Toilet stop on route.
  • Please bring a packed lunch, drinks and snacks.

12:30pm: Arrive in Snowdonia

  • The mountain to be selected based on weather conditions and the team.


  • As one group - led by 2 Mountain Leaders.
  • Please bring a rucksack, water bottles (2 litres min), waterproof coat & trousers, warm hat, gloves, comfortable trousers to walk in (no jeans!), walking boots, multiple top layers, plenty of snacks, sun cream.

4:00pm: Summit Mountain

6:30pm: Complete descent and head to accommodation.

8:00pm: Arrive at Plas Isa, Dolgellau in Southern Snowdonia for check in.


Sunday 7th July


8:00am: Leave accommodation

8:30am: Arrive in Blaenau Ffestiniog


  • Big Jumps (optional), Fast Slides, Thrilling Ziplines, Abseiling Down Waterfalls.
  • This classic extreme canyon trip is the most popular canyoning in North Wales.
  • Please wear: swimming costume and trainers or walking shoes. Crock, flip flops, sandals, etc will not be strong enough and therefore will not be permitted. Wetsuits, helmets, harnesses and ropes will be provided.


  • Climb rocky cliffs and abseil vertical walls.
  • Conquer your fears and learn new skills.
  • This is where your teammates will look to you for the confidence boost and support they need.  

*(The order in which we climb and canyon may depend on weather conditions)

5:00pm: Finish and head back to Dolgellau

Monday 8th July

Stand Up Paddle Boarding

8:00am: Leave accommodation


  • Paddleboard in the beautiful surroundings of the Mawddach Estuary in Snowdonia National Park, North Wales.
  • At the mouth of the beautiful Mawddach estuary, with it's pretty harbours and long, safe sandy beach, Barmouth is a fantastic location to SUP, whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced paddle boarder.
  • Please wear: swimming costumes. Wetsuits will be provided.

12:00pm: Lunch and beach relax/swim

2:00pm: Leave for home

7:00pm: Return to Oxford

  • This is an estimated return time, which may be effected by traffic, breaks, activities and generally how the day goes.   

Mountain Kit List:

Essential to be properly equipped
Tried and tested clothing only
  • Rucksack.
  • Walking boots; broken in.
  • Double layer of socks.
  • Waterproof jacket & trousers
  • Base layer top – breathable.
  • Warm layer/fleece and spare.
  • Comfy walking trousers - NO jeans!
  • Multiple thin tops for temp regulation.
  • At least 2 litres of water.
  • Warm gloves, hat/balaclava.
  • Waterproof phone case or strong plastic bag.

Canyoning & SUP Kit:

  • Swimming costume.
  • Trainers or walking shoes (no crock, flip flops, sandals).


Wetsuits, helmets, harnesses and ropes will be provided. However please ensure we have your wetsuit size ASAP:
